This was an interesting project to create a seasoned oak Victorian Conservatory off of an outbuilding in the garden. We created a dummy slate roof gable (spandrel) off of the existing building, so that it looked like part of that building rather than something just ‘tacked on’. Our clients wanted a medium oak finish on the outside and a clear oak finish to the inside. Our builder used reclaimed stock bricks with squints on the corners. Blinds were used for privacy.
